I am an experienced independent speech and language therapist (SLT) based in Nottingham.
I am a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
I have an enhanced DBS and work with children and young adults with a variety of communication difficulties aged from 18 months to 25 years.

I am based in NG5 and work across many of the surrounding districts of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. I am able to offer sessions in a variety of settings at your convenience.

I work with children and young adults who have a variety of communication needs and/or complex needs. The approaches I use are evidence based and improve the following.

I offer a FREE 15 minute initial consultation via phone. My services are flexible and I am currently offering online or face-to-face appointments

Consultation and Assessment

As an independent therapist it is important I complete my own up-to-date assessments where necessary. For this I use a range of informal and formalised assessments that will provide a baseline of your child's communication skills.

Therapy

I use solution focused approaches. This means I focus on what your child CAN do and use these skills as a foundation to build on. By recognising these natural skills therapy feels positive and empowering. Each therapy package is then naturally catered to the individual.

Family 
Friendly

My approaches are child led and Family focused. Parents are the best therapists a child can have.  I like to work with families to build their awareness of their own skills and support them to build these into everyday situations creating multiple communication learning opportunities.

Training

I offer a range of 'ready-to-go' and bespoke training packages for early years and education settings.

About Me

My name is Erin, I am a fully-qualified, highly specialist speech and language therapist.

I have worked with children and adults across a variety of health, education and justice settings within the NHS. I also spent two years overseas on the Island of St. Helena developing and managing a service from scratch, which continues to operate successfully.

I set up independently to continue my passion of working with children whilst remaining part time in the NHS as a highly specialist SLT for adults with intellectual disabilities, fulfilling both of my passions side by side.

I specialise in interaction approaches - namely VERVE Interaction. My philosophy is to practise therapies that are led by the child to ensure they have fun, feel listened to and remain engaged. I also believe that all intervention should have family involvement so that you too feel listened to!
